. . . .We are very proud to be the representative of Rudoulf Doetsch, Ivan Dunov and Wilhelm Klier instruments in the Atlanta area. These fine European instruments (Doetsch and Klier – German, Dunov – Romanian) have proven themselves for over twenty years to be the best choice for advancing students.
The well-seasoned woods are carefully crafted with close attention to the thickness on the top and back. These are critical areas where too much wood results in a dead sounding instrument, and too little wood can pose structural problems later.
The instrument “in the white” is brought to Eastman Strings in Baltimore, Maryland, where the antiqued oil varnish is applied. Then we receive the instrument here in our shop for setting the sound post, bridge and final stringing and adjustment. Throughout the process there is much “hands-on” work, making your instrument very much more than the “factory” instruments seen at similar prices elsewhere. We always try to stock several of each instrument, violin, viola and especially cello, so that when you come in there is a selection of instruments to try out.
. . . . If you are considering an instrument purchase, please contact us before you buy. We will be able to help you with your decision. After the sale you will find that we are very customer friendly and will be more than happy to help with any small adjustments you might need. Don’t forget our full price trade-in policy for any Doetsch, Dunov or Klier instruments purchased (full size only) from Atlanta Violins.
See you soon!
