With the All-State auditions, Governor's Honor's Auditions, spring concerts, festivals, orchestra trips, etc. coming up for your string players in the near future, plans for Upbeat! String Camp can't be far behind! We would LOVE to have all our past campers from last year join us again - with the exception of those Academy students who went off to college. And of course, we LOVE new students - who will very quickly see why most students return to Upbeat! for many years!

The t-shirt entry form and rules are again on the website. Just make sure to turn in an Upbeat! application and drawing by May 1st to be considered for the contest. If you win, you'll get a free tuition either to Elkins Pointe or Dodgen - whichever you choose.

After having a GREAT time last year at both locations, we're getting all geared up to do it again! After taking camper's suggestions into account, we do have some great new changes, so please take note.

Academy will be the entrie 2 weeks at Elkins Pointe!!!!!
Academy will paint violins and celli with all the other campers.
Chamber music will again be featured at Elkins Pointe - we love quartets, and other groups!
Zach Mansell will join us again, by popular demand, IF (and when) his schedule permits!
Bill McClain has asked his daughter Mara, and son-in-law Avi, to bring their quartet over from The Alabama Symphony for a performance and masterclass!!!
Butch Sievers, director or orchestra at Dickerson Middle School will join us at Dodgen (east Cobb).
Solo Day will return at both locations for those students interested in performing for their peers - it was very successful last year. So find a piece you'd like to play, and if it has a piano part, get that, also.
Mr. Palmer will expand his fiddlin' class to include alternative styles at Elkins Pointe.

Please don't forget about those coupons that parents received at the concert last July. Please include that with your application. Also, as usual, our Early Bird deadline is once again May 1 - your application must be received by Atlanta Violins by that day to get the discounted price.
