Come Join the Fun!!!!

There’s lots of orchestral music – we pick from a wide array of classical, movie tunes, solo concerti with orchestra, and/or original works by Seth Gamba. The emphasis is on fun, interesting, challenging, and somewhat unique works.

Violin and cello painting will be offered again this year – musicians are wonderful and inspired artists!

Guest artists will be featured – in the past they’ve included Tom Ludwig, Divid Pineda, Tirza Kosche, Ilya Fishof, Gabriel and Shalunda Feurdea, Adam Crane and Matt Phillips of Atlanta Violins.

Electric instruments are awesome, and students will be able to try one out one in class - performances also may include them.

Students will be challenged in a composition project in the computer lab. Some compositions will be performed on the concert.

Ear training is a very important part of our day – string players don’t have frets, so we must train our ears. Most everyone can hear – but we don’t all have the same ears as a string player!

Our day is not all work! We have an afternoon recreation period that includes outdoor (weather permitting) or indoor games. Musicians can be competitive, we’ve learned!

Seth Gamba’s Bucket Brigade is the culminating feature of the day. This is the authentic rhythm challenge, and your child will love drumming!

A scavenger hunt (or other unique diversion) and water fight ensues on the last day of camp. Students from last year are still talking about some of the last day escapades!

Our mission statement is to provide a comprehensive orchestral summer camp experience with creative, experienced, innovative and fun teachers, state of the art facilities, and classes which will inspire and improve your budding musician.
